(after Rudyard Kipling)
Распечатать рассказ:   PDF

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Rudyard Kipling (1865—1936), a great English poet and a talented writer, was bom in India and spent many years of his life there. It is not strange that India acted as the setting for many of his books. In 1907 Kipling became the first English writer who received the Nobel Prize for literature.

Rudyard Kipling also wrote for children. His most famous children’s books are 'Just So Stories' and 'The Jungle Book'. 'The Jungle Book' tells how the child Mowgli was brought up by the wolves and taught by Baloo, the bear, and Bagheera, the black panther, the law and life of the jungle.

'Just So Stories' may be called animal fables. In them, we discover what happened on the banks of the Grey Green Greasy Limpopo river, how the camel got his hump, and how the leopard got his spots.
